MORTON POLICE WARNING: Don’t Give Bank, Social Security, Credit Card Password Info Over the Phone. Just hang up. If You’re Concerned, Call 911. The IRS does NOT contact you by phone.

The Morton Police Department has asked us to inform you not to give ANY personal information over the phone.  If someone calls saying they are from the IRS, PECO, your bank or some other organization, either hang up or ask them for a number for you to call them.  You are always welcomed to call the Borough Office 610-543-4565 or contact the police with questions.  This also applies to any texts or emails.  The IRS will only contact you via U.S. mail.  If it sounds strange or too good to be true – it is probably a scam.
